Haute-Garonne Lifestyle Opportunities for 2026!

The start of a new year often brings a familiar question: what’s next?

For some, it’s a gentle nudge towards change. For others, it’s the moment when a long-held plan finally feels possible.

Across the Haute-Garonne, we’re seeing renewed interest in larger character properties, particularly those with the space, layout and location to support a chambre d’hôtes or gîte lifestyle. Many of these homes were once run successfully as hospitality businesses and are now ready for someone new to take the reins.

Aspet

A lively mountain market town with cafés, shops and a strong local community, set against the Pyrenees foothills.

Ausson

Wide-open countryside, superb Pyrenees views and close to a popular tourism lake - ideal for seasonal guests seeking peace and scenery.

Montespan

Close to Saint-Gaudens and within reach of Toulouse, making it a great option where one partner may be commuting.

Salechan

On the new train line from Toulouse towards the mountains, with fabulous views and space for a main house plus additional gîte accommodation.

A lifestyle as much as a business

What links these homes isn’t just size or layout - it’s the life they make possible. A slower pace, meaningful work, and the chance to welcome others into this beautiful corner of Occitanie.

If starting something new has been quietly sitting on your mind this year, these properties are well worth exploring.
